Today I went to a talk put on by Georgetown's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Afairs. Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mohandas Gandhi, spoke about peace and reconciliation after 9/11. He spoke about two kinds of charity/service, one that comes out of feeling of pity and one that comes out of a feeling of compassion.
